Unbelievable that there is NO HEART in this team!!! Someone has to step up and become the CHEERLEADER, MOTIVATOR, DO SOMETHING to get this team fired up!!! What is WRONG? Play calling stinks, players are not giving 110%, fans are upset. Only one I t…

Unless the 'Skins pick up a player cut by another team it looks like the team is done acquiring players. I was wondering what everybody thought of the off season so far. my thoughts: Haynesworth-Very high price but IF he stays healthy and motivated…

No, that scenario sounds good, although I wouldn't be disappointed if we traded up to get Brian Orakpo, DE out of Texas. I have a feeling that this kid is gonna be special, but he'll be gone by pick #13. Now, add my 2 cents to yours and our opinions…

I don't think a trade for Cutler is going to happen. I'm also not totally sold on JC yet but I don't blame last year's collapse on him either. I think the way he played at the beginning of last year is more what he can do compared to how the season…

Poor Showing Today vs Lions

Unbelievable that there is NO HEART in this team!!! Someone has to step up and become the CHEERLEADER, MOTIVATOR, DO SOMETHING to get this team fired up!!! What is WRONG? Play calling stinks, players are not giving 110%, fans are upset. Only one I think that sees the true picture is Portis. Like he said on John Thompson's radio show, people are not gonna spend ov $100.-00 for a ticket, $25,00 to park, $25.00 for beer and a hot dog to see a bunch of guys not leaving their heart & soul ON THE… Continue

Plack Whacked; Daniels Back?

The Redskins announced today that Ryan Plackemeier, the team's punter for the last half of 2008, would not be back to compete for the job in 2009. This is mildly surprising since signed for next season at a salary of just over $500,000 and there didn't seem to be any urgency to create that cap space.

However, if you decide that a player just isn't in your plans and that nothing is going to happen to change your mind there isn't any point in keeping him around. Although it appeared that he was i… Continue

A Grimm Outlook on Saturday?

A year ago this coming Saturday, Darrell Green was in Arizona in order to attend the announcement of the Class of 2009 for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Art Monk didn't go West with his former Washington Redskins teammate but there's no doubt that he kept his cell phone on just in case his name was called in that press conference. As we know, both Green and Monk ended up on the list for enshrinement.

This coming Saturday, Russ Grimm, another member of those storied Redskins teams, will not be… Continue

Staff & Management

Owner: Jack Kent Cooke (1974-97) – Spent all that was asked and then stayed out of the way to let the football people he had hired make the best football decisions. Cooke’s ownership style should serve as the template. Earns this mark of distinction over George Preston Marshall who presided over the Redskins from 1932-69, introduced the team name, band, fight song and moved the club to D.C. Unfortunately,… Continue

Position Paper--Cornerback

The defensive backfield was the strong suit of the Washington Redskins defense in 2008. For that matter, it probably was the strongest unit on the team.

It would be great if the team could just carry that area of strength into the '09 season intact. However, some decisions must be made and some major change is possible.

The first piece of the puzzle is cornerback DeAngelo Hall. After being picked up in midseason following an unceremonious dumping by the Raiders, Hall worked his way into the st… Continue
